A Brief Intro Of My Journey Into Grandparenthood
When I was a young mother with five children under foot, my ex-husband often talked about the day when our kids would be grown up and how he couldn’t wait to babysit the grand-kids. I thought, “Bite your tongue!” I, myself, was looking forward to the day when I would have some freedom to pursue my own passions, free of kids. This may sound like I was a disgruntled parent who couldn’t wait for her kids to grow up and fly the coop. Not so. I thoroughly enjoyed being a mom and I think I was a “fun mom”. Our home was often the gathering spot for the neighborhood kids and later the place to hang out after school till working mothers got home and I could send the little darlings off to their own homes. (Sarcasm intended.)
